About

I’m a San Francisco Bay Area writer, with a diverse background that includes an MBA, litigation consulting, and social sector strategy. My work as a writer takes many forms – compelling stories and profiles, research-based analyses, and interview-heavy white papers.  An MBA and a consulting background provide the tools to analyze data and weave it into engaging narratives. A passion for interesting people and unique stories drives my work.

I’m a small town girl from blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Esparto, California, and grew up milking goats, raising chickens, and growing killer heirloom tomatoes. After graduating from UC Davis, I worked in litigation and economic damages consulting, spending countless hours reading, analyzing and summarizing thousands of legal documents for court cases. After an MBA from UCLA Anderson, I moved into the world of social sector strategy consulting. There, I worked in issue areas like education and global health, interviewing interesting folks from around the world, ranging from doctors in rural India to European scientists. Capturing those stories and using them to drive social change was a powerful catalyst.

The threads of my experience all lead back to putting words on the page, and my writing is focused on the doers, makers, and creatives that weave the fabric of our culture. I’m passionate about storytelling in all its forms – stories are a powerful tool and a universal human connector.

"Sometimes reality is too complex. Stories give it form."
